The challenge

RouteLine moves freight for retailers and manufacturers across the country. Dispatchers tracked 1,200 vehicles through three different GPS vendors, each with its own portal, and customers called for every delivery update.

The company needed one live view of the whole fleet, automatic delivery updates for customers, and reports that showed fuel use, delays and driver performance without exporting data by hand.

02

The solution

We built a fleet operations platform that combines every GPS feed into one live map, a driver app for proof of delivery, and a customer portal with automatic tracking links.

Feature 1

One live map for every vehicle

Data from all three GPS vendors is normalised into one map with live positions, routes and status, refreshed every ten seconds.

Feature 2

Driver app with proof of delivery

Drivers see their route, capture signatures and photos, and report issues from the road. Customers are notified the moment a delivery is complete.

Feature 3

Delay alerts and reports

Dispatchers are alerted when a vehicle runs late or leaves its route. Weekly reports cover fuel, idle time and on-time rate by driver and customer.

03

The results

1,200vehicles tracked live
70%fewer “where is my order” calls
12%lower fuel cost per route
Clear communication, weekly demos and clean code. It felt like an extension of our own team.
